Seriously? Free word processor
I'd go for OpenOffice or the more recent LibreOffice variant, but if you just want a simple word processor AbiWord is good too.

It's pretty decent, thought you do need internet to use it i suppose, but who doesn't have interwebz nowadays?

What about Hotmail Office Docs, it’s basic and free, but you need a Hotmail account
