i've used wordpress as the backbone now for 3 content management projects (wanted to give it a fair shot), and i'm still not massively convinced it is overly suitable as a CMS solution...

in some ways it does the job just fine, but in others such as galleries, split content pages etc, it falls short i feel...

not sure whether i should persevere or move to an alternative (which one is another thread all together)... what do you reckon?

Wordpress is a very good simple CMS. The majority of CMS features missing can be added with a few plugins.

Multi-Page works fine for split content pages for me, galleries I'd rather use something external as they are nigh on always better than integrated ones, but I'm sure there is some plugins for it. NextGen Gallery wasn't bad last time I used it.
Could you recommend some plugins then to make it more suitable as a CMS?

you mentioned Multi-Page i'll look that up :)
