What's the best way of a fully automated backup of a wordpress site along with images, plugins and themes?

Also the easiest way of restoring as well

Set up a cron job to do a mysqldump up the database

mysqldump -u user -ppassword database > database.sql

Yes. Look in the WordPress plugin repository and search for "Backup"

I just export the database and copy the website file. Same way I got it from localhost to a server except there was a bunch of things that needed changing once on the live server.
