Wordpress (Disable comments)

How is possible to disable the comments part of a page. I don't want it to be always off but I don't need it on every page. I'm using a template I purchased and I don't seem to be able to find any solution to this. What would you be doing to achieve this?

Easy, goto your dashboard, find the post you which wish to have comments disabled,
under the discussion heading uncheck allow comments.

yeah I think the theme I am running is over riding this.

I've just noticed on the pages area theres no option to disable comments. Only on the posts bit. Its because the theme I'm using is loading a template.

Ive done it. They hidden the discussions panel in something called screen options! It was hard to find!
