Wordpress issue

Hello everyone

Recently our website was hacked with a htaccess edit to wp-info which had some dodgy files in and redirected to Russian pharmacy websites

However, I've spent time manually removing what I could, we have a decent backup, and the database is intact, is it just a case of updating the core files for WP and reapplying the theme?

Make sure you upload the clean copy of wordpress, update wordpress to latest stable version and also update security of your wordpress and remove all unwanted plugins which are the main cause of such hacking.

I dont think wordpress has an option to edit the htaccess file (not without a plugin, anyway) so if they got in by editing that file, you have a security issue further up.
Check file permissions and update server/FTP passwords.
