Hi,

Having some issue with a wordpress site I am setting up. I need to have it so that the front page is static and any posts go to a seperate BLOGS page.

So in the reading settings I set:

Front page displays > A static page
Front page > About
Posts page > blog

So, this should set the About page to be the home page and then any posts to be loaded in to the blog page.

However.....

if you look at http://ihatebeingfat.site40.net/ you will see that the HOME page is showing the About page. I can't remove the Home page because it's not actually a page in my pages section. How do I get rid of it?

I tried settings About as private but that not only hides the page but also the content on the home page.

Website Under Review

You see this page, because the system administrator of 000webhost.com is currently checking this website for malicious content.

Otherwise I'm not quite sure what you mean... Are you saying that you have set "about" as your homepage but in your pages you have no "about" page? If so can you not just make an "about" page?

The website under review thing is something the web hosts do on all new accounts to check there isn't anything against their T&Cs, seems to be sorted now :)

I want to set the "About" page as the front page so I can have a static front page, however the template uses a "home" page as the front page. This means that anything on the "about" page is being duplicated on the "home" page.

I only have "about" & "blog" pages set up in the pages section.

It's confusing I know, but hopefully now it's back up you can see what I mean :)
