Wordpress questions

A few basic questions on Wordpress..

I am wanting to transfer my music review/download site into Wordpress so I can manage content easier and quicker.

I have seen http://split-magazine.com/

Basically it will be a similar layout to that - the navigation on the left, you click a link and it will have a list of reviews. You then click a review and get to read it etc...

How do I go about setting up Wordpress to reflect that?

Would I have each link as a category, and then each review as a page?

Nah, they're all posts. Just put all news stuff as posts in the "news" category, then fetch that in the little loop at the top, then put all reviews in the "reviews" category and show the latest ones down at the bottom.

Although I'd probably be tempted to put reviews as pages, or at least change the permalink structure so that they didn't have the date in them.

Edit: Yeah, put reviews as pages, so you can have a hierarchy of /reviews/artist/album/, then use List Subpages to display every album on an artist page and every artist on the /reviews/ page.
