Wordpress - Redirect Loop issue

My wordpress install updated a few months ago and now it won't allow me to log in. Every time I try, I get the following error message:

This webpage has a redirect loop

ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS


Any ideas how to fix it?

back up and delete your .htaccess file and try.

Hutchy's suggestion is a good start. If it's not that are you using any plugins that might manipulate your URLs?

Is this error only appearing on the login page? Is the rest of the site ok?
