Wordpress site suspended due to malware

Someone I know has a Wordpress site. They have had it suspended due to malware on the site. The site has had a couple of intrusions in the past. They want to get the site cleaned and prevent this happening in the future.

What is the best way for them to go about this? It isn’t a commercial site so there isn’t lots of money to sort this out. The site has been suspended by the host.

The best way is to restore from a backup... they do have a backup don't they?

I'd be asking the hosting company for what proof they have and for assistance initially

I've been hearing good things about www.fixed.net - seems to be quite a bit cheaper than wpfixit.
