Wordpress themes

Very new to this type of stuff. Just got my first hosting and a domain name for a project myself a few mates are doing in July 2012 "Mongol Rally"

Know absolutley nothing i'm afraid, in fact have to keep google open and search any word / phrase to do with cpanel, wordpress, Domain etc as i'm reading around, you get the picture = NEW boy

I'm after a nice clean theme that I can use for now and proberly ease myself into adding/ editing as I learn the ropes. Will be wanting to use it as a CMS style ?

Any recommendations ?

Years ago when i first started overclocking this place was buzzin with help and support. Must have been a hell of a long time ago.

All sorted kind of now. Google is my friend, it may not be as specific or personal but it gets you there in the end

Give me some details and I'll happily help, what type of theme are you looking for? Cost? What is it for? Do you want to customise it?

What one person likes the next person won't.

Recommending a theme is quite hard when you give no other details.

Take a look around the theme sites, start at wordpress.org. Find something you like the look off and go from there.

of course, you can look at themes through the wordpress dashboard. check the things you want and search away, but it's not 100% conclusive. personally, I'd look at a child theme of twentyeleven, my favourite theme at the moment is nomnom which is HERE

Get a free theme, work on your content and when you start to get visits and traffic then start working on the eye candy appeal. When you see someone else using a theme you like scroll to the foot of the page and it should have a powered by link and theme link.
