I've just installed wordpress to the root directory of a site, but whenever I click any of the links on the right, categories, about page etc.. it just takes me to the directory listing of the web server?

Are you sure you've installed it correctly? Are you logging into the control panel correctly? Make sure all file permissions are set correctly (read & write etc). That caused a couple of problems with my Wordpress install. Worked fine when i sorted out permissions. Then again I didn't install it myself, the webhosting had an installer package with the hosting which did it all for me with one click!

Followed everything.. all the administration links work fine etc, along with posting news and creating categories.

But when I click any links on the actual site it just does to the directory listing :\
