Can I make a whole website out of wordpress ?

I have a uni assignment where I have been tasked to create a website that interacts somehow with social networking. For example, I make a website then I post images i have taken up on the website and then ask people on twitter to give a very brief review of the image using comments on the website.

I also have the option of making a website in a commercial sense, that is, branding myself as a wedding photographer for example.

I just wondered if wordpress can be used for this and not simply as a blog ?

I already have it setup and ready for content, just needs tweaking slightly.

You're using wordpress to make a website for uni assignment? What course are you on?

You can post content pages to wordpress and use it like a cms rather than blogging software.
