We are trying to organise a days outing for a work do and as such I was just wondering what other people had done with their work and how successful it was. We are based in the West Mids but obviously there will be some generic answers like paintball, bowling, go-karts, etc - what did you get upto or what would you like to do for your next work day out?

Are you bound by any rules of inclusiveness? e.g. Can you involve drinking, gambling, etc.?

If there's no restrictions, then maybe go to the dogs?

Edit: We did a treasure hunt style thing in York for our last day out. We're restricted to activities that don't include the two I included above!

Paintingballing is obvious yes, but it is fantastic fun and you'll have stories about it for ages in the office.

I've just been Clay Pigeon Shooting with work. We have 3 outing a year plus Christmas.

One of the three outings involve an activity and dinner (Shooting, Karting, Paintball, Quadbiking) the other two are a meal and ****up.

All paid for by the company :)

Yer was going to suggest paintballing, went out with the local St John a short while ago and had a amazingly fun time:

We had a power outage a few months back, it was nice weather and we all got sent home.

We stood around in the car park for a bit and decided to go and have a BBQ in a near by park, and it just so happened that someone had a bat and a ball in their car. So we just played rounders and ate!

It was great fun!

Interesting thoughts so far - paintball could well be poo poo'd tho cos of the women moaning about the violence and being hit tho ;op

About 30 of use are heading over the border into Germany (we are in DK) for a trip to Heide Park on the 9th for some roller coaster fun!!! Not sure how my 37 year old body will cope though.
