Hello all, I work for a small-medium sized business with around 20 desktop clients. At the moment we are currently running a Watchguard firewall, which if I'm honest, has been the bane of my existence since I started here.
We have a mail server and main rdc server in the comms cabinet and all are linked through a 50 port netgear switch, through the firewall, then onto the BT router.
I've managed to convince the powers that be that since the Watchguard license is coming up for renewal we need to look at other options. My research has led me to pfSense. It looks exactly what I need it to do and also a lot cheaper than Watchguard!
My question is, looking at their own hardware recommendations, which model would be more suitable for our needs? Do I need a C2758 unit or would a simple SG-2220 be more than sufficient? Or am I better creating my own box? Or is there something better than pfSense?
Cheers!
