Work mate leaving - what to get him?

Good friend from work is leaving next week. Any tips on what to get him? He’s 23 and going travelling with his GF for a year. He’s into rap music, Apple stuff, hip hop merch, basketball and vaping.

I was thinking a couple of Apple Tags or maybe a smart rucksack that has battery power pack, hydration system, compass etc.....

Depending on budget, osprey backpacks are incredible and come with a lifetime warranty from manufacturing defects!

A nice “backpacking” backpack (60-70ltr) can run £150+ but there might be a sale on somewhere.

It will do him for life if looked after and they’re super comfy to wear.

A really nice and big Microfibre towel if budget is lower? A big one is nice as it packs small and can be used as a beach towel/sun shade plus loads of other uses!
