Work outings.

Following on from the thread suggesting what to do for a day with people from work.

The thread got me thinking, and i for one, realise im really not a fan of going out with people from work. I don't know why, i get on with everyone fine, but i guess i like to just keep work and social life seperate really.
Going for BBQ's or whatever, i just feel awkward and a lot of the time people just talk about work, work and more work...

What do you guys think about work do's?

Love them or loathe them?

They are good fun, we have one tomorrow night at the bowling alley followed by an Indian.

Suppose it depends on your colleagues.

I wouldnt thank you for a work do with my workmates, they are a pack of ******* and make me miserable at work, never mind on a social occasion :mad:

It depends on the job, I've had some great nights out with various works but I tended to find that it was better if the numbers involved were relatively small. Didn't just talk about work though, the general approach was that it was best to get the work related gripes out the way early and then not talk about it again - occasionally that rule was breached when people got drunk but that just added to the fun when people said what they really thought.
