Hi guys just need some advice with my current job situation if you wouldn't mind.
I currently work for B&Q on a programme called fast track which is a developement programme into management. I am currently doing the job role in another store to where I first started employment with the company and don't recieve any extra pay, however I do get mileage allowance. During the last 3 1/2 months that I have been doing this job I have been burdoned with extra tasks that I did not have to do but did in good will that it would get me to where I want to be faster. This hasn't worked as my Manager has indicated that my performance is good but I am not developing myself enough. On top of this my personal life has taken a knock with my grandfather having a stroke and my girlfriend not being to well etc. (Don't want to go into detail but it could be quite bad). These things make me want to go back to my original place of work to be closer to home and less responsibilities in coming off the programme.
I have not signed a contract to work in this other store or to perform the job I am so technically I am still contracted to my original store. So, legally can I tell my current manager that I wish to go to my old store ASAP and he cannot stop me? I just need some advice to be honest on what you'd all do in this situation.
