Morning all,

I've always bought my work shirts from Next but my latest purchase is disappointing. I bought two shirts, one sky blue, the other plain white. I opened the sky blue one first to make sure the fit was ok (had to go up a collar size) but noticed the material was a lot thinner than previous shirts I have bought. I washed and ironed it anyway as it looked nice. This morning I went to try the white one on and the material is so thin you can see my nipples through it. I've chucked both the packaging and receipt away so no chance of getting my money back.

Anyways, my question is, where do you buy yours from as I'm not going to be buying from Next anymore.

Thanks

I buy mine from Nex.... oh wait.

I've got a few nice shirts for work (academic dress, so mandatory cotton/wool jumper over the top :p) from M&S. Good quality, fairly reasonably priced and have no trouble in the washer/dryer.

i don't buy work shirts, being a student, however the quality of a polo shirt i got from charles tyrwhitt is top notch, softest polo shirt fabric i've ever seen

Generally I go for TM Lewin, Charles Tyrwhitt, Thomas Pink...that sort of thing really. It's really worth paying that little bit extra for much better quality and longevity.

I've got a few from Burberry, Dolce & Gabanna and Valentino, but for general everyday use, the above will be perfect.

Another fan of Charles Tyriwtt here, always doing deals on shirts and good quality.

Most of those 'big' Jermyn Street brands come out of the same shirt factory in Derry so pick whichever style you like best, don't worry too much about a difference in quality, they're all pretty good.

TM Lewin is where I purchase my shirts from. Very long lasting and good quality

I've just moved from Next shirts to TM Lewin and they're worth the extra £10 or so (once you factor in the buying four in a go deals etc).

They're much more comfortable and I really do like the non iron shirts! Nothing easier than taking it out the washer and leaving it to do itself!
