Work station £500-£600

A friend has asked me to build him a work station for five to six hundred quid.

He needs everything to build the box inc win 7 64.

His main tool is rhino for rendering but uses other creative Suites.

Having only every made gaming builds i don't know anything about work stations, can this be done in budget?

Rhino and photoshop for 90% of his work.

SSD but less RAM and the board lacks a USB3.0 internal header so the cases USB3.0 ports have nowhere to connect.

That looks good, would a amd setup give any advantage with the rendering?

AMD is going to be slower, also the Nvidia card will give you some acceleration in the programs support CUDA.

You may also want to add a heatsink to compliment the case - https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HS-013-RT&groupid=701&catid=2330&subcat=2666 - and help bring noise levels further down.

i've had a look at the requirements and a quadro card wouldn't be a bad idea. not sure on availability at ocuk though. the gtx 750 stulid specced has more cuda cores so may be better.
