We're having the kitchen ripped out soon, and am looking at ways we can still do basic cooking. Not wanting to spend loads - but are any of the counter top induction hobs in the £50-£100 range worth it?

It's hard to trust Amazon reviews of these things imo.

They're okay for what they are but because it's only a 13amp plug top you're pretty limited to what you can do. You need to spend 10x that to get a good one that'll give you great control and won't pulse.

Just go for a branded one with a decent warranty.

Yep, I know what a proper induction hob costs https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/threads/gas-to-induction-for-new-kitchen.19007361/
I’m just after something to work for a few weeks, frying eggs and boiling rice or pasta
