I have 3 computers in the home network. One laptop connected via wifi, and 2 desktops that are connected via ethernet. They all connect to the same d-link router. They are all within the same workgroup (MSHOME). I have successfully been able to share and browse other folders on the network with no issue. I use the laptop with the wireless connection.
As of yesterday, whenever I try to view workgroup computers the page opens but displays no other computers. Checking from one of the desktops, they can see each other from the workgroup but not me. I don't get any error messages though. I can't access any shared folders I was previously able to. I cannot ping via network name anymore. I have tried with and without simple file sharing. I have turned windows firewall on and off. I have changed NetBIOS to be on. I have tried removing myself from the workgroup and going back in. I've tried disabling and enabling the network adapter. I've even tried a rain dance.
I'm kinda stuck from here, I have no idea what could have caused the issue. All computers are definitely within the same workgroup but for whatever reason I cannot see the desktops and they cannot see me. We are all within the same IP address subnet with the same subnet mask from what I can tell. (192.168.0.x)
I've googled the problem and tried various solutions but I haven't been able to match my problem to someone elses solution unfortunately.
Any help would be much appreciated, guys.
P.S Another thing I just noticed, I myself have a shared folder made accessible via the my network places view but I can't even go into my own folder via the network route, it still gives the same error all the other shared folders do, the error is:
---------------------------
My Network Places

\\LAPTOP\Share is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions.
