Working abroad in COVID

Your HR department should be running this not your line manager and they should ensure that you are covered for all risks when out of the country. Decent life cover, pension arrangements should you not get back but also health cover and return flights if you get sick. That should all be stated up front, a success bonus would be good as well..

I don't think hiring your own solicitor would look good, but only you know the company you work for.
 
Cheers, also had a similar exchange with a friend. Will take it through proper channels.

Definitely don't want to be in a situation where it all goes wrong and the line is, "you went out there, your fault."
