With Vista being RTM and the beta's people have installed when do you think Nvidia will release a decent/working driver for vista?.

I know they've released a couple of drivers for both RC1 and RC2 but ive
been using RC2 and the latest nvidia driver and gaming is impossible with it, all source games, CSS, day of defeat etc have serious graphical problems making the games unplayable.

I heard that Nvidia were probally releasing driver X this friday but no news on whether it will be vista comptable and if it will be a decent/working driver.

they view it as not out yet though.

mainstream Nvidia users wont get hold of the OS until January. You might not see the driver until December.

Uninstalled my Vista because of the poor drivers, was running a 7300LE so no drivers didn't bother me, but when my GTO arrived it was time to go back to XP for a bit ;]

true, but they were betas available to a much large audience than the RTM version is.

85% of Nvidia users wont see Vista for months yet.

Yeh, its getting on my nerves now.....

Nvidia G80, worlds first DX10 graphics card - but there are no drivers that you can use on the only OS that can run DX10!!

Good on you Nvidia -
I think they must have employed MS marketing department "we promise - honest"

this is bound to happen when a new OS comes out. Ive got my copy of ultimate right here (legal version). However, highly doubtful i will install it until a service pack and reliable drivers are released for all my hardware.

Its rubbish that Nvidia have not released drivers for the launch of Vista. I'm sat here with Ultimate Vista and a 8800 GTX with know where to go except back to XP.

Can only hope that nivida pull there fingers out and release something asap. Everyone was expecting a new driver release yesterday but it never came, reading other forums it seems that its ready and has been sent off for certification.
Tried the leaked 97 driver which i can now play steam games with but performance is really bad, getting half the fps in source games then i did on xp.
