i'd like to get me a pair of pecs and was wondering what the best workout would be for maximal size, currently i've been bench pressing with a pair of dumbells with 9kg on each one. Any other ways i could achieve this?

Thanks :)

Flat bench, incline and decline with DBs. You should out grow 9kg quick, so get heavier weights. Oh and as mentioned do dips :)

I know a lot of people who stick to the above and got good results. But it does depend on the individual (form etc).

dumbell presses are great, but get more weight, if you want some pecs you will need plenty more weight than that.

ok thanks guys does anyone know where i can get more weight at a cheap price? UK or US as i can have my mate bring them when he comes :)

Agreed, i'm a total lifting rookie and at 6 ft and just 11 stone even i am pressing 8 reps on 27.5Kg dumbells.

at 5"2 and 8.5 stones I've just started doing 20kg...but my form is bad I think so will probably move back down to correct that. Have the urge to lift heavier but what's the point if I'm doing it all wrong :o

i recomment doing a single bench press exercise on a slight incline.. i got really good overall results doing this for like 4 months i did it everyday thought (against every bodybuilding rule in the book) but i really made gains

well im 6'3 and only 9 stone yes nine stone i've been working out for a year before that i was 7.5 stone due to some eating problems but im gaining the weight slowly :)

Hope your training goes well for you :)

I've made decent gains doing just flat/incline barbell/dumbell bench press. I try to do the movements with good form ie: no back arching or using momemtum to get the weight up. I very rarely do flys or dips for chest.
