Works IT have gone too far!

My work block a lot of websites, all image hosting sites are blocked. Usually you get a web page telling you it's been classified as media sharing or whatever and that's why it's blocked. Today I can't access the OcUK forum, I can still get to the shop ok but not the forum, or AVForums. I get a screen saying page not available, it mentions DNS lookup failed.

How can I get round this? I can't survive with my daily dose of you guys.

Please help, I'm cold turkey here, posting from my phone isn't the best.

Is logmein.com blocked? Leave your pc at home turned on and remote in!

There are many ways of getting round work filters although I think publically stating these is not a good idea.
You're not paid to sit on the forums!

If it's been blocked. Avoid a disciplinary and stop browsing during work time. Or beg IT to unblock it.

I don't do it for the same reasons as the OP, but you could just run an openvpn virtual appliance at home and connect to it using your home internet connection's IP or a dyndns URL.

Looks like they are having DNS issues, sales say they can't access lots of sites that they need to use.

It will probably take them ages to fix it.

What if my job was browsing forums? It could be, you never know

Anyway to find the IP for other sites?

Just ping the url in cmd and it will show you the IP.

Not if your dns is failing.

Plenty of websites that can do a dns lookup for you though, thus not using your dns server. Assuming you can reach *any* websites
