Workstation motherboard with 2 x EPS12V ?

Would a workstation motherboard that has 2 x 8 pin EPS12V power sockets work ok if i just plugged one 8 pin connector in the first socket and a normal 4 pin ATX12V connector in the second?

Is this a dual CPU workstation board? If not it probably would. All those do is supply 12v to the board. Less pins = less amps to the board. If the hardware isn't overstreaching the psu it should be fine, at least this is true of the Supermicro server boards I've worked with

It is a dual CPU board, but i'll only be using one CPU to start and its a low power 95w Xeon.
