Worktop for a computer desk

Hi guys, i have a question about Karlby worktop, any ideas how i can repaint it? I would like to make some custom desk, long enough, but one issue - worktop colour not suitable, i need something white

I got idea to put vinyl sticker on it or repaint? i think repaint should be better
But i dont know really how

some can advice? Thanks

Looking at the Ikea spec it's 3mm wood over particle board with a wax oil preapplied.

Depending how far the wax has penetrated it could be a pain to paint. Could try sanding lightly, prime and paint?

Just buy a worktop in your preferred colour from a kitchen supplier? Eg worktop express etc?

It's not worth the bother to paint just cut it to size.
