just started playing call of duty world at war, what a load of crap, more bugs than my mattress and more patches than my quilt!! cant quick save and seem to loose other settings!!is it just me ? any body else as ****ed off with this pile of ****e?

Well...like its predecessor Modern Warfare, and I can only assume also it's successor Modern Warfare 2, World At War uses a checkpoint system, so it does save, just not where you always want it to 
Also, please do give some examples of these bugs. I only encountered a couple in my playing time (mission didnt complete once, large pain in the proverbial there). If you can tell us more about losing your settings, maybe someone has encountered this and can help you fix it
