Greece in the euros, basicly cups like this are won with a lot of luck.
I am so utterly certain that England wont win this world cup , that I am willing right here and now to state that I will give 1 years worth of wages to each person in this thread if we do win it.
Thats how certain I am. The sheer fact that we talk about which teams we want to avoid tells me that there are teams in it that we dont think we can beat and thus we have to hope to avoid them, hardly the stuff of world champions.
My prediction is as follows...we will do very nicely thank you in the group, win the group reasonably comfortably. At which point the media etc will be going wild with 1966 comparisons and how we are going to win it. Then get knocked out against the first top 10 team that we play following the group phase.
