It goes down to goals scored, and then if that doesn't help, goal difference (i.e the number scored versus the number conceeded)

I would imagine it'd go down to either fair play (number of yellow/red cards), goals scored (i.e. the top 2 teams may have had a 2-2 draw with all other games being 0-0) or FIFA world rankings, but I'm not sure precisely.

Either way, this should be in the Football subform of the sports arena :p

I think its the other way round, ie Goal Difference first, then goals scored, then the head-to-head results (pointless if all are drawn) and then it goes to a random draw I think!

EDIT: Yup wiki to the rescue.

Wiki said:
If two or more teams end up with the same number of points, tiebreakers are used: first is goal difference, then total goals scored, then head-to-head results, and finally drawing of lots (i.e., determining team positions at random).

what if they were all 0-0 and every other stat was equal, yello cards, red cards, free kicks, corners, shots, shots on target etc etc??

Sorry, thats what i was suppose dto ask. If all teams were 0-0

All 4 teams on the pitch at the same time with penalty shoot out?

Just another question to ad to this question thread.

How the hell did South Africa win the bid for the World cup?

At the time the policy was to rotate the World Cup between continents and it was Africa's 'turn', and out of Egypt, Libya/Tunisia, Morocco and South Africa, SA was picked as the best place to hold it.

It looks great fun in SA at the moment. Hopefully this should do a lot for their tourism industry (provided no-one gets shot or something)

lmao riot police attack the stewards after the Germany game about Pay, how much are Fifa making from this, they are calming they got $20 but should have been given $45
