World in Conflict mission help please!!!

I've just got this today and its absolutely ACE!!! :D

I'm on the first NATO mission after the nuke attack on the USA.

I get to the part after I've secured the Soviet firebase and destroyed the artillery where I have to defend and fortify the village down near the coast.

I've captured all the defend points and fortified them and everything seems to be going ok. Then the tank commander guy comes over the radio and tells me he does not need any help and should I not be trying to complete my mission?.

I sit there and have all flanks covered and then the Colonel comes on the radio and says "Damn you Parker, did I not warn you about disobeying my orders?.....You are dismissed!!!". :confused:

I have no idea what I am doing wrong and cant see why the mission ends in defeat at this point.

Anyone played through this mission?. I need help immediately or I'm going to wear away a hole in the house wall where I'm sat banging my head off in the room with my PC. :cool:
 
Okay, I'm here. Its just after you kill the soviet Arty at their firebase, then move down to the coast and defend the coastal village:-

No worries, got that hacked off with this buggy nonsense that I uninstalled it and its now consigned to the cupboard where it can happily gather dust for all I care now.

Cant be bothered with this, game looks good then it gets so far into it and this sort of random rubbish occurs.

I'll move onto something else now. :cool:
 
First of all, you cheated.
Second, your objective is to defend the town, not run off and destroy everything. I assume you're being dismissed because instead of staying in the town you have a huge force of helicopters running off somewhere else entirely.

What is the point in following the storyline if you're not even going to try and play the game like you're supposed to?

I bet defending America from the Soviets is a really pressing mission when you have six million heavy tanks on standby :p

Yes I had a trainer running at the time.


However, I had my force concentrated within the town and waiting to attempt to defend it.

Made no difference.

I switched the trainer off, restarted and tried it as per normal, still the same thing, got the message that I had been defeated.

Not a problem now as prior to me previous post, I added the dev -console to the shortcut and bypassed the annoying mission via a console command.

I'll switch the Trainer back on now.......:D

I think I found a bug, you're supposed to capture a church (which is then bombed by the russians) then supposed to break through the lines, you're given a couple of heavy artillery. I've cleared the area and placed my units at the green circle but nothing happens.
