Hey, I was just on gamespot and i was looking at the videos on the little screen on the right of the main page. A trailer for this game was the first video, its the first ive heard of this game but holy moly its REAL!

And besides, its a strategy game, the trailer hardly shows that off particularly well.

Does my head in. Same with most TV ads for games. They show some pre-rendered stuff that looks nothing like the actual game. Grrr.

Yep, I'm so excited by all that pre rendered tripe, I might go out and buy the game... and get dissapointed

Looking at the true in-game stuff, it doesn't look too bad, rather nice it seems.

World in Conflict is a real-time strategy game developed by Massive Entertainment, the team behind Ground Control. The game takes you to an alternate version of present-day Earth in which the Soviet Union still exists.

Sounds a bit Red Alert to me.

From reading about it, it does sound like red alert but based in a real world situation. Its by Massive Entertainment, the guys who did the Ground Control series, so if their track record is anything to go by this should be decent. Dev interview and screenshots in the link below, if anyone is interested. Will be keeping an eye on it anyway.
