World music

Can anyone recommend any good world music - by this I mean foriegn/ethnic music.

I've been listening to some Arabic tunes (unkown artists - please recommend if you know any) lately and would like to listen to what other nations have to offer.

Look out for the CDs 'Rough guide to......' they have Africa and the Middle East in the series as well as Nigeria and Ghana also The African Blues.
I have just found out about a woman from Lapland called Mari Boine who has a divine voice and has updated the traditional Saami songs with a modern twist.
Another voice that you must check out is Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan who sings Sufi religious music from Pakistan
