so yea been really getting into world of tanks..... am loving it!!!!

free to play... can't go wrong :D want to play with friends... need to buy premium :( booo!!!!!!

you can play with a mate if you have the same tier tank and click enter battle at exactly the same time. but chances are you will either be on opposite teams or in different battles :(

i have one mate who has premium and a group of us were able to join up together and go into battle on the same teams, tis good fun :D

just wondering if anyone else has a premium account and fancies gaming or if there is a little ocuk platoon/company?

Its a good game but is hard work in the beginning...it pays to get a premium account so that you can get to the bigger tier tanks quickly....it is great to play though but wont be everyones cup of tea

it's pretty fun :) i mean some of my clan tried it and it wasn't their cup of tea. for a free game i think its awesome....

not everyones cup of tea as i'm pretty much the only one in my clan play it haha.

nope it's all multiplayer :D you start off with 3 basic tanks, russian american and german, you battle, earn experience and upgrade your tank and then can research the next tank up.

got light, medium, heavy tanks, SPG's and tank destroyer tiers to go up. so kinda like an rpg game but with thanks :D

just the premium (spending gold) gives you extra things. like better ammo, little extras you can add onto tanks to give eg. better engine power.

Yeah most of us beta tested or at least a lot of us did. Tbh i wish they kept the beta status cos it still feels like a beta in some ways one of which is mainly the balancing.
 
I wish they had kept it...i was on 2 tier tens when it restarted.....been hard work getting back up....managed to get upto a IS3...only 140000 to go for the IS4...lol
 
the game is free....but to get your tanks upgraded quicker it pays to buy a premium account....it costs about £8.50 to get a premium account for a month...if you want to pay again for another month afterwards then you can...you can pay by paypal as well...so its simple.

What you actually do is buy gold...you can use the gold to buy premium accounts or exchange it for experience,,,its up to you. If you get in a good clan and enter the competitions you can also get free gold that way by winning tournaments etc etc

Premium account only gives an extra 50% on your xp and credits received, so its not that much more work to go without it if you dont want to pay.

I'm up to tier 7 tanks without premium, although it starts getting really grindy at this point (even with premium). Best thing about getting some gold is adding extra slots to your garage. Free play only gives you 5 slots, which is enough if you dont want to keep your previous tanks, but its nice to be able to keep a few for fun. Not many people use premium ammo in normal battles, so you dont really need that either from what I've seen.

I'm really enjoying the game, so I've added some cash just to expand my garage and to buy a premium tank. Premium tanks give out more xp and cash and therefore make it easier to afford the more costly tanks at higher tiers, although they are generally only of average strength for thier tier (so paying cash doesn't get you an uber tank, just a tank superior in farming xp/credits).

Great game, but needs more work on game modes and matchmaking :)
 
nice info there fred :) i was under the misconception that the "premium" tanks were silly uber thanks that can obliterate anything. but guess not :) good to know hehe

i still have the starting russian and american tank in elite (use them for fun :P ) and have the pviii/iv tier 5 and grille tier 4. gone the german route hehe :D really enjoy how every battle is different. some rounds in my spg i might not even get a shot off as a light tank just speeds into our base and butt rapes the arty :p or had a round last night where i killed 7 tanks of the other team! :D and most were actually me doing all the damage, not just taking off the last 2% and kill stealing haha! :P

but some players need to get a bit of battle sense... eg. battle last night, they had 1 heavy left at their base on 40%. we had a heavy on 25% and med on 60% and 2 spg's (myself included).

there were 5 mins left on the clock. we all knew roughly where the tank was but only had 5 rounds so wasnt going to waste ammo.... now the sensible thing to do (atleast for the team) would be for the med to go in fast and just get bisual so the tank and two spgs could all fire... took 2 mins of convincing for the med to go in... but he did spot him :D i got a hit and took it down to 20% :D the other spg hit also which took it to 10%

unfortunately the med got blown up. what did the HT do? it just sat there... didnt even try to engage... now with 2 mins left we were shouting at the HT to go and take a look. one hit would bring him down but our HT just complained that he only had 25% hp himself... tried to explain... if he goes in and we get a hit... we win... if he goes in and dies, we might still get a shot and win....if we missed... would be a draw as there was no way to get to us in time...
what did the HT do.... it retreated!!! :( if i was closer i would have rocked up in my spg haha

some people need to learn the art of self sacrifice for the team :) i've done it many a time in my light/med tanks... hell i even went scouting in my spg before because the remainder of our team were too pansy to take a look (and they were light tanks!!!)
 
Premium just makes money/xp making easier

This is from the 2x Credit day yesterday on certain tanks.(Panther)

Take note this was a Lose game. so no X1.5 bonus
