Hello,

First of all thank you for taking the time to read this,

I want to be able to play World of Tanks through my Headset and Music through speakers,

i have a ASUS Xonar D2X soundcard but i cannot use this at the same time as the onboard sound card,

i have to disable the onboard soundcard in the bios for it to work,

could i run 2 ASUS Xonar D2X and split the sound that way?

World of Tanks does not have its own playback options it uses windows,

im using windows 10

thank you in advance

If you can't have the on-board audio enabled when using the Xonar, there's nothing you can do I'm afraid to have two different audio streams using the Xonar, unless you get another sound device to use in conjunction with the Xonar, in place of the on-board audio. USB DAC for example.

You can do this with probably most Realtek codecs, as there is an option to use front panel audio as a separate audio stream, from the rear outputs. Windows sees two different audio devices when doing this. Sound cards are seen as one device. There's no option to have two audio streams, so the sound card needs to be used in conjunction with another audio device.

Of course, using the on-board audio for 2 streams would make the Xonar redundant.

Anyway; if you enable the second stream within the Realtek sound options, then it will appear in Windows sound options as a secondary audio device. One you'll have set to default for gaming and have your headset connected to, and have the other set to be used in whatever music software you use, to which you have speakers connected.

If you want to continue to use the Xonar, you'll have to buy a DAC. Probably a USB one.

That music software needs to have its own output/playback device selection or also its sound will go to default playback device.
With all this "easy to use" garbage with crap level configurability can guess lots of software not having own settings.
