I play with 4x Anti Aliasing in WoW and I have this bug where my screen will flicker and the AA will turn off there will be jaggies on everything , the only way I can turn it back on is to minimize the game then go back into it, what is going on?

On my ATi X800XT, a while ago, there was a bug in a patch where AA caused texture corruption, the only solution was to wait for updated drivers.

Do you have latest drivers?

I know my card is a different make, but with blizzard, you never can be truly sure how a problem works :)

ive never been able to get aa working in wow, this is on an ati card, just something i have come to accept, in fact i lie, i think i saw it working once for a week then a new patch was released an it was gone again lol.

Still love the game and playing well over a year now, i thought this was an ATI issue and not both nv an ati lol

I was getting terrible trouble in all games with my 6800GT on my Asus P4C800 Mobo, WoW being one of them. Graphics corruption and crashes.

4 months of messing later - it turned out to be because my memory was in dual channel mode. Switched them to different slots and everythings dandy. No noticiable difference in speed either.

I had this then realised there are actual resolution options within WoW that include '4x multisampling' that I hadn't chosen. For some reason my forced AA/AF settings on the drivrers didn't have any control over WoW.

Now I just get the bug with Full Screen Glow enabled, when I alt-tab out to desktop then back, I sometimes get a weird glowy mess on the extreme right of the screen!

so did you turn them off with the drivers and just enable them in wow, or leave them as they were with the drivers an turned them on in wow?

In addition to the AA problems, im getting crashes and a error message saying nv4 Display Driver not working, I then have to manually reboot the computer, I have sent a form to blizzard about this.

Ive just noticed that multisampling thing, I run 4x AA with my drivers but its running 24 bit color 2x multisampling in game, Ive turned it down to 1x multisampling, its improved framerate considerably

I get that aswell, have seen other people on the WoW help forum with it aswell but Blizzard seem to refuse to accept the problem exists, they just give the standard "Please delete your WTF/WTB/Interface folder" or "Its a problem with your memory/pc overheating" :(

Left them on in the drivers (as this controls other games that dont have specific AA/AF settings) and then forced a resolution including '4x multisampling' in WoW.
