Last year I came here for a build but real life got in the way. Well my PC is dying a slow death now, it’s 8 years old! I want to run WoW at max if possible at 1440, I don’t really do other gaming on my pc as I will have either a PS5 or Xbox series x for that.
I’d like to be able to stream and run Spotify in the background, run two monitors as well. With the new 3070 and the way the nvidia card helps with streaming this seemed a good option, when they are released and I’m willing to have a go at building myself, it looks fairly easy and I’ll get a windows key off eBay as well, it if there’s a bargain pre built system I’m open to that.
Budget will be around £1k, I’ve got peripherals sorted anyway. I open to having RGB and wouldn’t mind a white case, but its not a deal breaker.

Everything from new, I just think all my old gear wouldn’t be useful, I’m probably going to hand down to my 8 year old. thanks.

Although I don't think a GPU of that magnitude is warranted for WoW at 1440P.

Ye I’d like it to be, obviously that may push it up a bit. I really have no clue when it comes to what I would need.

For give my ignorance but this has no psu etc? I appreciate waiting for the 3070 to come out as well will reduce prices on other cards as well, just getting an idea at what I need to order, also what is the M.2?

to save money and keep to the budget the only way to do it is to take the case and the SSD drives from the old system.

you will be looking at

Corsair RM750
Ryzen 3600
ASUS X570 Prime-P
3200MHz 2x8GB DDR4
And the RTX 3070 or the AMD 6800

That should be within the budget.

Sadly I need new everything so looks like a budget increase :(

the RX5700 can be bios flashed to RX5700XT which will give you everything you need. But at a fraction of the cost of the newer GPU. And that means you can afford the case and NVMe drives within your budget

do some research on the 5700 cards. Some are very good and can bios flashed without issues. Others aren’t as good.

Ok thanks however I have no idea what bios flash is or how to do it, I’m building for the first time and just want a basic build and go.
