World Of Warcraft Crossfire performance

From my experience WoW does not use crossfire when run in windowed mode but does appear to work when in full screen mode.
To be honest I run it in windowed mode and a single 5850 maxes everything anyway so you shouldnt be concerned either way.

This.

May I add something onto this: if you go to the new places, such like Uldum, then a single 6950 may not be able to sustain 60 fps, and this is when CrossfireX kicks in if you have vsync enabled on a 60 Hz monitor.

However if you stand in Org or IF among crowded players in peak time (i.e. at least 40 players in sight), then you wouldn't get anything above 30-35 fps; this is not the fault of CrossfireX - not even GTX580 4-way SLI can do better, because in such case the game is CPU-bounded. It uses 2 physical cores of the CPU so overclocking your CPU is important now.

Anyway, you'll need to run the game in Full-Screen Mode in order to benefit from CrossfireX. I call this inconvenient.
