Just noticed on the WoW Europe site that they're opening five new servers today due to the number of players, hopefully sorting out some of the latency problems at the same time.

The English realms that will be opened on Wednesday are Scarshield Legion (RP PvP) and Xavius (PvP).

Is anyone planning to start new characters on these realms?

Haomarush was packed, I remember people queuing for hours on end, about 4 - 7k people in a queue at a time.
The reason they're opening these new realms is because they're 'fresh'. I personally see no point in started afresh, although it's fun at first it soon gets tiresome.
Frostwhisper ***!

There's also major latency problems for European customers at the moment, rumoured to be the data centre and Blizzard are hoping the new servers can help sort the problem (although some suspect the 1.9 patch). I know that some players do not like long waiting queues so I expect the new servers will please them, even if it means starting fresh.

Personally I've joined the RP-PvP server and unfortunately NTL decided to do maintenance this week so I kept getting disconnected and loss of service. :(

I've only re-subscribed until 14th Feb as I was very bored so I'll see what happens at the end of the week. :)

i have to queue quite often for like 30minutes these days on stormrage... now that nowhere near 7k people in a queue (omg!) but its still lame when there is a guild raid... u logon to get in on the action and are faced with a queue... missed the first 30min of mc the last time

wouldn't want to start again though.. .game aint that good :D

I just created a new char on Xavius as I've not tried a pvp server yet :)

Could be interesting as everyone will be similar levels I guess.

ive bought the game yesturday (hopefully will arrive today) should i go on one of these new servers. What are the new ones called i want to go on a normal server not a pvp.
