Now obviously this isn't actually real, and I know the person who sent me it hasn't a clue about PC's. But why is that reporting it to be so high?

It's not his cd-key, but I'd black it out either way

that key is nothing! simply his REG ID, nothing can be done from that, each time u instal OS it generates one for remoting etc
