Worlds Largest Aeroplane

Holy crap!!! It's a wonder that thing can fly given its size and weight but its quite impressive non the less. Antonov's are notoriously huge!

This is video to watch - most interesting -it is a super looking plane and older than you think..

Edit

Not same plane but made me smile - The Aussies have a good way of expressing themselves

Is it just me, or does that just look like a much larger version of a Lockheed Galaxy ?
I suppose all large transport planes end up looking similar at some point. Still, that is on big aircraft lol.

When it took off from Manchester it was given 23L to take off on as that runway is slightly down hill, 23R & 05L both go slightly up hill and it wouldn't have reached V1 before the end of the runway.

The soviet shuttle is amazing. Many pictures of it sitting in that abandoned hangar, mind blowing to look at.

The soviets had a concord knockoff too, never really worked out for them. Fortunate enough to have seen the antonov many times in flight, the approach to east midlands is parallel to the 6006 on my drive home from work.. awesome sight.

I'm more impressed with the cargo TBH, British engineering at its best.

What, the generator that was made in the Czech Republic? :D

Even the videos don't really convey how ridiculous the Antonov looks taking off - those engines must be ridiculously powerful as it just looks so wrong getting into the air.
