Apparently the guy that runs Dream17 bumped into Worms producer Martyn Brown during the 2006 London Games Festival back in October and Brown told him that “Worms HD is now complete, and it’s just a matter of Microsoft releasing it”.

Superb lol. I could never get into worms, nor lemmings tbh but did have a laugh playing it back on my AtariST. This could be a good XBLA hit if they pull it off.
 
Worms on multiplayer could be good for a laugh :p

Still waiting on the Racing game on xbox live which has been in development since the 360 release (I think) and there is still no news on it.
 
Use to work with Martyn years ago. Great bloke, spent far too much money in the arcade at the bottom of their offices playing After Burner and Shinobi.

Definate purchase from me.
 
Could be fun, unless they release the newer 3D versions which weren't as good by far.

Also lets hope they do widescreen as its ones of those games that could do it, and not box it like a lot of ports on the marketplace.
 
This game could be awesome. Playing multiplayer over the net would be cool. Also, being in HD could be rather benefitial, see more of the map etc.
 
LOL, this confirms what i thought. I sent Team 17 an email a while back asking if they had any plans to use their Amiga back catalogue on XBLA as i thought there was a lot of potential there. Martyn mailed back to say that they had plans for the arcade, but it didnt involve the Amiga back catalogue. At that time i remember thinking to myself, it'll be a version of Worms then, and here we are ... :D
 
I will purchase Worms from the XBLA regardless...I just hope that it's 2D rather than 3D!

I loved playing Worms World Party over the network with mates at college, lol, so it should rock over Live! especially with voice...
