Worng CPU Speed?

im on air m8.
Current 34 Idle Under Load it only goes to about 40-45

so if your on Water you should get a nice result.

it was the multiplier, was set to auto but under a different name. all sorted now

I've got the same motherboard and CPU. What's the setting you changed for the multiplier? I'm still struggling to find it.

Its called CPU Ratio or Multiplier and is located in the bios and set it too 8.5 and give it a try.

yep starts on auto, then goes 0.6 0.65 0.7 0.75 0.8 i think

Probably won't have a 6.5 multi

i.e 6 / 7 / 7.5 / 8...etc.

Gah I just got this CPU manually set CPU Ratio to 8.5 in BIOS and it keeps jumping back down to 6...

Turn off speedstep C1E and EIST in BIOS, they declock your CPU when its not needed to run at full, you'll then be able to see your full speed in CPU-z, though once you've finished OC'ing you should turn them back on. Wish I had a pound for every time this has come up

Ah got it. When I manually entered the multi speedstep option went away, so couldn't figure out what to do (And didn't wanna mess with stuff)

Turned C1E off and works fine.
