Worried about a trojan

last night whilst I was on ETN.FM irc channel, someone PM'd me and someone else I know, and he said that it was possibly a trojan. I disconnected, started running my NOD32 virus scan, spybot, adaware etc, nothing could be found. My PC was going a bit slow, seemed strange at times, then noticed wuauclt.exe was running (when i had Windows Update switched off) plus there was a SVCHOST.EXE runnign about 50k of memory.

Been running spybot and adaware all day now, i went on to do a Trend Mirco online scan and about 2 minutes into the scan it closes my firefox down completely no warning or nothing. Now I might be completely paranoid but I am a little concerned. Even though NOD32, Adaware and Spybot dont find anything.

How can I check if, it wont let me do an online scan

Anyone recommned some good trojan busting software ??

Disable System Restore and scan in Safe Mode with what you've got now first.

I have done that too, nothing found. It just seems to play up, i was just using msn a sec a go and then it just logs me out, my internet speeds been bad last few hours, but everything seems ok on the router.

Im paranoid to log into anythign now
