Worried about my bundles PSU.

I recently purchased the Titan Tanto intel core i5 4670k @4.2ghz overclocked nvidia gaming pc.

I choose the GTX 780ti GPU to go with it and an extra 120gb SSD.

The GPU box says that the minimum PSU for a GTX 780ti is 600w, but my build only came with a SuperFlower Golden Green HX 550W "80 Plus Gold" Power Supply.

Is that safe with the CPU overclocked to 4.2ghz ?

Am I at risk of my components blowing if the PSU fails because it doesnt meet the 600w requirement?

I`m sure you have tested the gaming bundles thoroughly but I have been reading online people saying that a 550w isnt enough.

550w is more than enough. The 600w recommendation is to allow for some of those terrible £15 700w PSUs you can get, which only really top out at around 300w (and die after 6 months)

That SuperFlower unit is perfectly up to the job

As said above, the GPU power ratings are there just to cover NVIDIA if some muppet buys a £10 PSU in the high street, blows up their PC, and blames NVIDIA for saying it would work. :p

I'm quite confident that even a good 450W PSU would do the job, however I would rather have more headroom.
