Hi,

Ok I am starting to overclock my opty and running super pi and occt to stress the system.

I have open the DFI Smatguardian software and Everest Home Edition to monitor the temperatures.

Both the CPU and Chipset are fine (I am on water except the chipset) but the mobo temp in both is at 60 degrees. Is this too hot for my DFI Ultra-D and how would I lower this where is it getting this temp from on the mobo?

Thanks

If by motherboard temp you mean PWMC then they are the mosfets and are quite safe upto 100c.

Also as you're on water you probably don't have airflow over the board sensor so your temps will appear higher, if it makes you feel any better get a fan blowing over the sensor but the rest of the board will still be just as hot making the 'benefit' a little pointless but you will no doubt feel better knowing your sensor is telling you porkys that you like as opposed to ones you don't ;)
