I am worried about my new build, All the gear came this morning and I have 2 970s ready to go.

I see there are loads of problems popping up today about issues with this card, I really dont want to have to deal with this when ive just dropped nearly 2 grand on computer parts.

Should i return them or just stick it out?

Is there many people with 970s who are not having issues?

Best you can do is build it up and try them out. You will still be able to return them if there are issues.

I have a 970, no issues at all.

You'll generally see more people complaining than praising a product though.

I have got the EVGA SCC V2 GTX 970 card and I have had no issues with it since I got it at Christmas. great card and glad I brought it.

no coil whine or anything as this was my main concern about buying a 970 as so many people had posted about the whine and it effecting most cards and brands.

what 970's did you buy? I would build up the system, take your time and then give it a try. you can always return the cards if you have issues or post on here and people are always willing to help.

what issues have you read about the 970s maybe someone can give some advise about the issues your worried about?

issue is that your always going to see posts about issues but never a post regarding cards with no issues as there is nothing to post

The issues seem to be most prevalent with high usage (over 3.5gb of vram) or voltages being different for no reason in SLI. Average users may never experience this as they don't have SLI or run software/games that use more hen 3gb of vram.

The current concern is that while not everyone is effected, everyone has it, and it can't be fixed, think of it this way though;

Fixed, broken or 'much a-do about nothing' you'll either have very good graphics cards or a refund.

If it's a hardware design problem, then the manufacturer will replace the cards for free, and maybe throw something in for the inconvenience.
If it's a driver design problem, then a new version will be coming out soon.

So far, nVidia haven't acknowledged that this is an issue (of any sorts). It has been reported to them by tech websites and forums.
Let's wait and see. Until then, enjoy your new rig !
