hi guys,

basicly i went to switch off my external HDD (seagate 250gig IDE) and notice the caddy (akasa ) was unusauly hot so i took the HDD out and it was nearly to hot to touch is this normal or should i mount the HDD in my case with active cooling, i dont ever use the drive as an external one as it requires extra power so it sits on a shelf in my room which i use to backup / store all my music and movies the drive itself is verticle using the stand that came with it
