This was a mk1, I think the succeeding model was a big step up.I don't remember them being that bad - I mean it was Rover but the ones I have any experience of were reliable and competent enough cars as it went.

Gotta be a 2009 Qashquai.
Was absolute dog. No feel in the gears, pedals or steering. Absolutely horrible.
Newer version is a big step up, and definitely tolerable
If a 200bhp A4 is the 'worst car you've ever driven' I can't imagine that 20% more power and 2 more driven wheels on exactly the same car was going to fundamentally change your world. You've either never driven a bad car in your life or you've somewhat missed the point. I've driven a 2018 A5 for about 1k miles and whilst I'd never buy one it was far from anything like the worst car I'd driven. Infact it was actually pretty good, despite being FWD and 150bhp.
I had a 400 for 2 weeks once. I actually thought it was OK and it rode and went far better than my 1.6L Cavalier of the time.I don't remember them being that bad - I mean it was Rover but the ones I have any experience of were reliable and competent enough cars as it went.
My parents H-reg Rover 200 when I was learning to drive. It was ******* terrible!
Rover / MG Montego Turbo, torque steer so violent it would try to change lane, harsh ride, crap build quality.
We had Montegos for work, but my boss’s personal car was the MG.
We all used to love borrowing that.
I bought a new MG Maestro EFI.. Quality was not their strong point.
(Especially in the trim / interior dept)
Always thought that the engines were too torquey for the chassis.
Quick & good fun though... but underrated against its competition.
The worst cars I have ever travelled in were Citroens with that fancy suspension they had in the 70's and 80's, it always made me seasick even on a short journey.
