Worst car you have driven

Mk2 corsa in 2001/2002

Learnt to drive with BSM at first and they were awful - it had speed- sensitive power steering which bizarrely got lighter the faster you went
Great fun driving on dual carriageways!
Terrified to change gear
 
Fiat Panda lol. One of the older ones. The term tin box on wheels comes to mind. Incredibly noisy, rattly, no sound insulation, uncomfortable hard seats, nasty plastic interior. Slow to accelerate and going up a mild hill smoke or steam or something would rise up from the gearbox area and it would really struggle. No auto cancel on the indicators. 4 gears only. Would really struggle to do much more than 50mph and you wouldn't to either as the engine was screaming by that point. Honestly the worst car I've ever driven. Horrible. 1/5

Have to agree. Their appeal is lost on me.

@Micloi was kind enough to let me drive his old heavily modded one and that was vastly better but still left me wondering how they could get the pedals so nicely sorted for heel/toe yet give me a gearbox that had the precision of an oil tanker on ice. The standard one I drove when they arrived, with Arbath bits looked funky but was a bit **** compared to say a Mini Cooper

Worst I've driven was a Ford Escort "courtesy" car from a small used dealer while they failed to fix my 306 under warranty.

Handled like 2 cars loosely tacked together and shocking brakes with a pedal that went to the floor under normal braking. Had 4 bald tyres and the clutch was so worn if you applied half throttle you ended up at 6000 rpm.
 
Probably Vauxhall Meriva think a 1.4 that I had for a day for work. Needed it for a few days but gave them a call after the first drive and got them to send something else out.
 
It's hard to say, i've driven terrible cars in every objective sense that are actually quite fun, my old Rover 200 was pretty terrible in a lot of ways but was still fun, same for the Citroen AX when i passed my test.

For me i think it'd be a 2010ish Kia Picanto i had for the day as a courtesy car. underpowered and rough engine and comically soft suspension and seats with zero lateral support meant i almost fell out of it going round a hairpin bend. I was used to driving my DC5 Integra at the time with Reaco bucket seats..

My current works van is pretty close though, 2016 2.0 TDI VW Caddy, i just hate that thing. I guess it's not terrible in many ways but lots of things just drive me nuts. I hate the gearing and the on/off nature of the turbo, i hate the driving position, i hate the way all the controls are the opposite of all the Japanese cars I've owned over the years. i hate the wind noise from the mirrors, i hate it's only got a cargo door on one side, i hate the stupid touch screen radio and how painfully slow the satnav is to load up, i even hate the texture of the steering wheel and the noise of the indicators :(
 
Hard to say, my dad's old 2.0 Volvo 940 SE was utterly gutless however the cavernous interior made up for it and it was actually fairly comfy. My old Rover 220DS was also pants, however great at the same time as you could run it on used veg oil and it was great fun leaving Tesco with 30 Litres of Veg oil if caught short & seeing the looks on peoples faces as you emptied the contents into the tank one by one.

Probably a 2014 Ford Fiesta 1.25 NA, it had no redeeming features & was painfully gutless. Joining the motorway was a case of thrashing the hell out of it to get up to speed.
 
Rental Fiat 500. Went for a trip to Monaco found an underground carpark and on the way out the car literally didn't have enough power to get up the ramp. Luckily no-one was behind as had to roll all the way down and get a rolling start :D

It was bad....pretty sure it was a case of it being a Fiat 500 and something wrong with the already small engine. Or maybe car is just terrible.

Yea I didn't like the Aygo either when I borrowed one. For a small and light car it didn't even handle well. It was poor all round. The Yaris is way better.

I don't think Toyota actually make the Aygo themselves though. It's a rebadged Peugeot or something.
 
2018 Peugeot 2008. I have no idea if it's the way it was set up from the factory as it was a hire car but I had to lift my whole foot about half a foot off the floor because the clutch bite was so high. Everything else about it was terrible and it was very uncomfortable in general. No idea why they're so popular.

Ah yes you're right, just Googled it, it is a Citroen C1/Peugeot 108. No wonder it isn't great.
